"King" - BSF Justa Hi Pharaoh ~16.0HH, 2013, Bay, ApHC, Gelding
"King" is cool! At 16 hands and 9 years old, King can do just about anything! King is an amazing trail horse. He will ride out anywhere, alone and in a group confidently! He handles all types of terrain, is sure footed and solid on the trail. He holds his own and will cross anything. He crosses water will without any hesitation. He reminds us so much of John Wayne's appaloosa horse "Zip Cochise" he rode in El Dorada. You'd have a hard time finding a more impressive looking guy! King has been used for ranch roping. You can rope and drag, with his size, you hardly feel like you're dragging anything! King stands ties, saddles, bridles, picks feet, grooms, loads and unloads well, hauls, hobbles, quiet for the vet and farrier, and stands for mount and dismount. King has a great stop, turn arounds, rollbacks, lopes and jogs around on a loose rein, rides one handed in a full bridle or will stay soft and supple in a snaffle. He side passes and works a gate well. King enjoys Liberty work and has a natural draw to you. He knows the side pass to you for mounting from a fence, rock, log or mounting block. He knows the lay down on command. We had fun riding him English and he seemed to like jumping. He went right to it confidently and never thought about stopping. It won't take long for someone to have him going though a course. He also takes the contact well and would make a fun lower level dressage horse.
