"Duke" is a classic. He has the old style big boned, athletic quarter horse built to him that is so hard to find. Duke has an awesome handle and you can't find a better-looking ranch gelding!! Duke has the nicest solid topline! Duke has been used for ranch work; roped and dragged calves to be doctored. He has been headeded of off and is quiet in the box. Duke has sorted cattle and is fun, easy! He is quiet outside and seen lots of outside miles. Duke has a willing attitude and tries so hard to please! He will move out when you ask, but does not get hot and in a hurry. The kind you can hangout on without him fidgeting! He is super settled and great just to hangout on! Duke has a soft mouth and will ride two handed in a snaffle or neck rein around in a full bridle! He has a big stop and can really get in the ground! He picks up both his leads well, has a flying change, will back up soft, will turn around, spin, side pass, work a gate, and move his forehand and his haunches. Duke is light and responsive, but not too touchy. He has excellent ground manners, leads, loads, hauls, is great for the vet and farrier, stands for mount and dismount, easy to catch, lead, bathe, groom, pick feet, saddle, bridle, stands tied, great in new places and gets along well with other horses.
