"Dixie" is a dead quiet, well trained, super smooth all around mare. Just about anyone can ride this horse, she is a great confidence builder for just about any age or level of rider. She would be an ideal first horse, or starter show horse; she is a nice mover and has taken many riders from their first ride all the way to their first ribbons and buckles! She has been consistently and successfully shown at the open circuits, 4H shows in Halter, Western and English Classes with Youth Riders. She is perfect for the rider that just can’t decide what they want to do but would like to try it all! Dixie rides beautifully to a light neck rein, responds wonderfully to leg pressure and has a great stop and responds very well to "whoa". She has been ridden down the side of the road, in traffic, and does great out on the trail. Watch her videos! She goes around town like it’s a walk in the park! There is not much that this girl has not done or seen before! One of her previous trainers taught her how to lay down on command, just for fun and to prove how quiet and willing, and trusting she really is! Dixie clips, bathes, ties quietly, is easy to bridle, hops right in the trailer, and is great in the arena, outside, in the crowded warm up pens, and in the show ring.
