He floats around slow and smooth like a show horse, but then if you ask for it has the quick catty moves that you need and speed too! Bud is the perfect starter horse for anyone looking for a ranch horse, trail horse, to learn to cut, sort or pen! Bud is an excellent forgiving teacher that is still competitive up to a 4 or 5 sorter. Bud was originally trained as a cutter, was finished, shown, and won over $6,000 in NCHA earnings! Bud is a finished sorting and team penning horse. He will go whatever speed you want and is a babysitter to sort and pen on. Bud has awesome gaits, nice little pitter patter jog, soft lope, has lead changes, rollbacks, backs up softly, hard stop, rollsback both ways, side passes, works a gate, and will do it all bridle-less!!! This guy is super willing, quiet, and sweet as can be! Absolutely excellent ground manners, easy to catch, clip, bathe, groom, pick feet, saddle, bridle, stands dead still for mount and dismount, stands tied quietly, quiet around other horses, loads, hauls well, and great for the vet and the farrier.
