"Derrick" - 15.1H, 6 year old, sorrel grade quarter horse gelding

Derrick is one of our very best trail riding horses, watch his video, this guy is about as un-flappable as they come!  He has had one owner his whole life and he has had a real job on a real working ranch, he has been used to rope and doctor calves, sort, check fences, and has covered tons and tons of miles over all kinds of terrain in all kinds of weather.  He is relaxed and easy going, and has a sweet, kind personality, but also has a ton of heart and will work for you all day with no hesitation.  Great smooth lope, flat ground covering walk and trot, goes around in just a snaffle on a drapey rein, has a big stop, nice turn around both ways, knows his leads well, backs up, side passes, works a gate like a pro, and stands dead still for mount and dismount.  Excellent ground manners, easy to catch, lead, load, hauls, stands tied quietly alone and with other horses, great turned out with others, and quiet in the barn, easy to clip, bathe, groom, pick feet, saddle, bridle, and great for the vet and the farrier.  Derrick is solid all-around and just a joy to have around, such a pleasant, no-nonsense kind of  gelding!  To top it all off, he is absolutely gorgeous, stout, good boned, well put together, pretty hip, and gorgeous face, kind eye.  He stands out in a group of horses!  Best thing about this one is that he is just honest, consistent, solid-minded, and quiet as they come!
