Instant Color El aka: "Eli" - 14.1H, 2000', bay/tobiano APHA gelding
"Eli" is the best babysitter/confidence builder/kid horse to be found. This guy has an awesome little flat jog and easy short lope, anyone who can sit up and hold the reins can ride this guy. Nice stop, nice neck rein, good side to side handle, responsive off your leg, but not too touchy/sensitive. Eli is baby-sitter broke, but light and well-trained so that his rider really learns to ride too. This guy can take someone from not knowing much, to ready to step up to an athletic, well-trained, top-notch performance horse. He has all the buttons and yet is easy enough for just about anyone to ride. This guy is really exceptional! Eli knows the barrels and poles, cuts, team pens, sorts, trail rides anywhere, and is cute enough to do the local horse shows and compete in the all-around classes or the ranch horse versatility shows. Eli ponies extremely well if you have a tiny kid you aren't comfortable turning loose on the trail. He crosses water, ditches, creeks, roads, changing terrain, rough terrain, traffic, this guy has seen it all. Has also been hauled as a turn-back horse to tons of large NCHA shows, so has seen it all at the horse shows too. Superb ground manners, easy to catch, groom, clip, bathe, pick feet, saddle, drops his head to be bridled, stands dead still for mount and dismount, ties with other horses, in new places, to the trailer, hops right in the trailer, hauls like a pro, and quiet for the vet and for the farrier.
