Horses Sold
~See how some of our sold horses are doing with their
new owners!!
Top Dual aka:
"Tops" - 14.3H, 2002', sorrel AQHA mare
Sold!
Tops
is a handy, sweet, anyone-can-ride type of mare. She is a great
confidence builder, will go whatever speed you want, both in the arena and
on cows. Would be perfect for someone wanting to learn to cut, or
great for someone wanting to step up team penning and sorting. Has
plenty of jump on a cow, but does not give more than asked, and not
going to get out from under someone. Tops has also been patterned on
the barrels, would make a great junior high school rodeo horse, or fancy
all-around
horse for the local open shows or 4H shows. She is pretty
and a slow enough mover to show at the local shows, but also has enough
handle to be super fun in speed and cow events. Gentle and quiet on the
ground, sweet puppy dog attitude. Tops is very pleasant, willing, and
easy to be around. Loads, hauls, ties anywhere, good with her feet,
quiet for the vet and super for the farrier, bathes, clips, and comes to you
in the pasture. Tops is also a very well put together, pretty mare, we
get compliments everywhere that we take her!
Sallys Dual
Pep - 15H, 1998', sorrel AQHA mare
Sold!
Sally
is an exceptional, gorgeous, stout-made mare. Sally is unique in
that she has all the handle and try in the world, but will slow down and
be slow for a less experienced rider, she is very tolerant and forgiving
of rider error. Such a blast to ride! Sally also runs the
barrels, will run in the 3-4D at large jackpots and she would clean up
in 4H or at the local playdays. Sally is a finished cutter and
incredible sorting and team penning horse. Sally has won a little
NCHA money and
has youth NCHA points. This mare would be a great
all-around
horse for a junior high or high school rodeoer, she could do it all!
Consistent sorting and team penning horse that will put you where you
need to be, great for someone just starting out or someone wanting to
step up their game, she really adjusts to her rider. Has been
hauled to sortings, pennings, and barrel races and won money
consistently everywhere! She is a great age, been hauled and seen
it all. These kind are hard to come by in this price range!
XL Smart Zeus - 15H, 2005', bay AQHA
gelding
Sold!
Zeus is Amanda's personal horse and he is truly exceptional. Super sweet,
quiet, and anyone can get along with him. Flat gaits, smooth as glass,
great whoa, nice handle, honest as they come, will ride around with no bridle,
and tons of personality too! Zeus was originally started as a cutter, has
been trail ridden, runs barrels, team penned and sorted on, used for riding
lessons, and he been to some fun playdays. This guy would make an
incredibly
high school or junior rodeo horse, would make a rope horse very quickly, could
do calves, heel, and/or breakaway. Has only run the poles once and
breezing through ran a 23, should make a 20/21 second pole horse. Very impressive pedigree, he is an own son of Smart Little Lena and out of a
daughter of Doc's Oak.
Zeus can do it all, from babysitting the little kids, starting somewhat out
competing, to competing at a high level. And he is competitive in a wide
variety of events - these do not come along every day!
Dolliwood aka: "Dolly" - 14.2H, 2006', bay AQHA mare
Sold!
Dolly is quick, athletic, and as smooth, easy, and quiet as they come!
Finished cutter, has won over $1000 sorting this summer, also
successfully shown in ranch horse versatility shows, placed at SHOT
competitions - top 5 in working cowhorse. This mare is super to ride, moves right off when asked, but is in no
hurry to go anywhere, very fun and enjoyable to ride and to be around.
Wonderful gaits, rides naturally low headed and relaxed on a loose rein.
Very flat, easy, little short lope. Has awesome lead changes and a
great turn around
both
ways. Handy, broke, and fancy enough to do really well in reining
classes at the local/4H shows. Super ground manners, clips,
bathes, easy to catch,
bridle tack up, pick feet, self loads in the trailer, hauls quietly,
stands tied to the trailer, in the barn, or in the arena. This
mare is pretty enough to do well showing all-around at the local shows
or would make a competitive mount for ranch horse versatility shows.
Rides great outside, will trail ride alone or in a group. Dolly is
a pretty, classy mare with a great attitude, and she is the perfect age
too!
Sunny Bay Pitchfork - 14.2H,
2008', bay AQHA mare
Sold!
Well broke young mare who is ready to go any way you
want! Excellent handle, side passes, backs, rollbacks both ways,
good leaded, and really wants to stop!
Solid ground
manners, bathes, clips wonderfully, loads, hauls, ties anywhere
quietly, good with her feet, easy to brush, pick feet, tack up, drops her head
to bridle, and easy to catch. Rides out alone quietly and will ride with
other horses. Super nice talented young mare that is ready for a job!
Tina Bars Lee aka: "Skip" - 14.3H, 2005', sorrel AQHA gelding
Sold!
Skip is smooth, athletic, light, and easy to
ride. Awesome handle, so quick and turns around both ways nothing
to it. Skip is exceptionally broke, check out his videos riding
around with no bridle - even while sorting! This little guy is so
dead honest, eager to please, and just flat broke! Skip is a
finished cutter and has won some NCHA money, this guy would clean up at
the local ranch cutting or as a high school horse. Skip has also
won money team penning, sorting, and running barrels. Ready to
haul and has never ever been fresh, one of the exceptional few horses
that you can leave in a stall for two days, cinch him up, step up on
him, lope him straight off, and go compete on
him. He is as low
maintenance as they come! Skip is a cribber, does not crib with a
collar on, wears a collar when he is kept stalled in the barn.
Super ground manners, ties, clips,
bathes, great with his feet, drops his head to be bridled, super sweet
about his blankets, great manners in his stall - even around feed time,
great with other horses, will stand tied with other horses anywhere, no
trouble in the pasture, not dominant, and he is easy to catch. He
is a complete gentleman and a pleasure to be around!
Playboys Hickory Bar aka:
"Tony" - 14.2H, 2004', bay AQHA gelding
Sold!
Tony
is a rare find, these kind of horses do not go up for sale often.
He has been here locally his whole life, had one owner. He has had
the best of training, care, and tons of miles put on him. He knows
his job and is very sweet, has an adorable, in-your-pocket personality.
He has done literally everything! He was originally trained as a
cutter and was shown a little locally, has been team penned and sorted
on, worked out on the ranch, checked fences, doctored cattle, has been
roped off of, and he has seen tons of trail riding miles. He rides
the very best, wants to be slow and quiet, little flat gaits, soft jog
and easy-breezy lope, great stop, backs up, side
passes, flying lead
changes, and neck reins. Just about anyone can ride this guy and
not only get along with him, but love him! He is lazy enough to be
quiet and take great care of a
beginner or timid rider that wants to go slow, but has lots of go and
athletic ability for a more experienced rider if he is asked for it.
The kind that can be left sitting for weeks or months at a time, walk
out in the pasture and jump on him bareback to go for a ride. He
has a set of papers you can brag on and a very attractive, well put
together guy too. Not many people have this kind of horse and
everybody needs one like Tony, he can do it all!
