Sweet Sissy Slew - 16H, 2001', bay TB jockey club mare
Sissy is a sweet, solid, mare that has years of training on her! She
has been shown in dressage, jumpers, and eventing to training level.
The last couple of years she has been being used as a lesson horse and has
done a great job of building several rider's confidence. She is super
easy on the flat, extremely smooth and naturally balanced. Very
correct frame, nice extension, really reaches up underneath herself, has
beautiful transitions, great halt, and nice lead changes. She is out
of shape to do the big stuff, but even in "pasture shape" she popped right
over a 4' fence with ease! She has auto lead changes after her fences
and is super easy over her fences. She is relaxed and balanced to her
fences, bold, but not at all chargey, never refuses and takes care of her
rider if her rider somehow does get her to a bad distance. Super nice
ground manners, easy to catch, lead, stands tied, great with her feet, easy
to clip, tack up, bridle, bathe, great for the vet and the farrier, stands
statue still for mount and dismount, loads and hauls like a pro, and quiet
in new environments. She has also just been played around on and she
will ride western, go through the
barrels cute, she trail rides great, will
ride bareback and double, and also rides quiet in just a halter and lead
rope. This mare is a great clean-up project for a rider on a budget
looking for a quality mount to compete on. And would be a perfect
starter for anyone looking for a quality horse that they will not outgrow
quickly as they progress. This mare is classy and she is as sweet as
they come!
